Dedicated to the thistle and willowherb,
this joyful descent in a natural and fascinating environment might
as well have been dedicated to the marmot and the eagle !
The eagle because of the views over the whole of the Maurienne
basin… The marmot because you will feel like idling the time
away on the grass and stone slabs… But the thistle's needles
are sharp : do not test them, the descent is steep !

Go up the Roi chairlift : information on opening days in Valmeinier
1500 !
From the top, ride down the ski trail. The route goes across the
Valmeinier 1800 domain and visits the resort. It goes down the
ski trails to Valmeinier 1800 (in summer, a trail for four-wheel
drives). At 1800 go on to epilobe fields to reach Valmeinier 1500
(careful! Some sections are very steep !).

From exit N°29 (St-Michel) on A43, follow
the "Valmeinier" direction (12km) via D 902.

- Fairly difficult (descending)
