Start
from Pont de la Borgée. A car drop at Plan Lachat considerably
shortens the route (500m less to ascend).
Ride up the Valloirette valley towards the Galibier pass, across
Les Verneys, then Bonnenuit. After les Réaux, follow the
Galibier road to Plan Lachat (2km). Turn left and follow the military
trail that climbs up to Les Rochilles and the three lakes.
Make sure that you turn left after the second lake to pass col
de la Plagnette and go down the long Aiguille Noire valley to
Valloire.
