Montsapey - Between grand Arc et Bellachat
If you like to go up and down, go from forest trail to road, cross streams and hamlets, this new route is the one for you ! A sportsman's route that will offer you an exceptional panoramic view if you take the alternate finish.

Difficulty

The route

The La Frassette forest trail starts behind the "Le Chaudron" inn in Montsapey. You will cross the hamlet of Le Villaret, then ride a steep descent to the hydroelectric power plant. Then cross the stream on "pont des Guerres" to reach the forest trail that leads to the hamlet of Montgodioz.

From there on, the route is a pleasant succession of up and downhills. First go up to the old spring of "la Frassette", before going down to the bridge over the Basmont stream, then up again to the hamlets of Le Coter and Le Torchet.

Then back to the inn via the local road through Le Mollard and Montsapey. You can make it a little longer, avoid the road and enjoy an exceptional panorama by going up to Le Mollard and across the pastures to La Chapelle and Montsapey.

Access
Take N 6 to Aiguebelle then Randens and Montsapey via D 72 bis. The inn, "le Chaudron" is on the side of the road.
