| Valloire
- La Lauzette |
|
Descending route. With its 2642 m, the
mythical Galibier is a tough client ! That is once again proved
in its all-terrain version, with a descent that will stay in your
memories. Narrow trail on mountainsides that have character, the
Lauzette trail winds its way down the pastures and their superb
flora. Don't let the marmots distract your attention !
|
Difficulty

|
|
Start from Valloire and climb the col (for the hard men) or have
someone drop you at the col (for the others). The route should
not be attempted in wet conditions.
The hairpins of the narrow path dive straight down the valley
under the gypsum mines.
Traverse and reach Plan du paradis and La Lauzette (pastures)
to reach the Mortavieille coomb (trail on the mountainside above
the stream).

|
From exit N°29 (St-Michel) on A43, take
the road to the Galibier pass via D 902. Valloire is 17 km away.
