Bugeon Valley

The route

Less frequented and known alternative route to col de la Madeleine : the Bugeon valley. Rising above Notre-Dame du Cruet, you will pass by the Cuchet chapel, and, from the orientation table, you will admire the ruins of the Lords of La Chambre's castle.

In Montgellafrey, the baroque church should not be ignored. Above, the road climbs towards the hamlets of Charrières and Le Mollaret, the panorama is superb and the nature magnificent.

Go on up to the Grande Léchère lake (trail), and you will find a nice picnic site.

To descend, join St François-Longchamp and ride down D213. Do not overlook the fairy chimneys below the road...
